Beginner Goaltender Assessment and Fundamentals
Who is it for: For beginners who are just learning goaltending fundamentals, but understand how to use all of the equipment.
What you get: Progressive lessons focus on the fundamental skating, sliding and save selection techniques. Each new goalie will need 3-5 of these sessions before they start to feel comfortable and can be safe and functional in a game, practice or scrimmage situation.
Equipment: Personal equipment is strongly recommended, however most necessary goalie equipment can be provided.
- Long sleeved shirt, pants and socks are required as underwear when borrowing equipment - No skin to equipment contact except for gloves.
- Goalie skates (no player skates), hockey helmets with cage (goalie masks not required) and goalie jock/jill (no player/athletic supports) are required.
